Are you expecting a new little one and have questions about how to prepare for breastfeeding? Did you just arrive home with your newest addition, and have breastfeeding questions, concerns, or difficulties? I am here to help! Everyone's breastfeeding journey is unique, and I will provide you with the guidance and support needed to help meet your goals in the comfort of your own home.
Services Provided
Initial Consultation $250
This visit typically take 1.5-2 hours and includes the following:
- Identifying your concerns and goals around breastfeeding
- Reviewing your medical history, as well as your baby's (or babies)
- Assessment of your breasts and your baby's oral anatomy, including their ability to effectively latch and suck
- Observation of a breastfeeding session
- Taking your baby's weight pre and post nursing session
- Teach and demonstrate techniques and tools that can be used to improve your breastfeeding experience
- Provide you with recommendations and care plan to help with your success. This care plan can be provided to your pediatrician if you choose.
After the initial consultation, I am available to take additional calls, texts, and e-mails to help support you and assist with any questions or concerns that my arise. This service is included in the fee of your initial consultation.
Prenatal Consultation $100
This visit typically lasts 1-2 hours and includes the following:
- Listening to your concerns and goals around breastfeeding
- Education about breastfeeding and self care
- Review you medical history to help identify and understand any medical or surgical history that could cause difficulties with breastfeeding.
- Breast exam
- Demonstration of breastfeeding techniques and use of any breastfeeding tools (including pumps)
- Review what to expect in the first hours and days of your breastfeeding journey
- Recommendations on how to avoid unnecessary medical interventions that could adversely effect breastfeeding and encourage supplementation
I want to hear from you when you and your new baby arrive home! I am here to support you and your breastfeeding goals. It is important to address any concerns or questions as soon as possible to encourage a positive breastfeeding experience. I am available for postpartum visits. The initial follow up call after arriving home is included in the fee of your prenatal consultation.
Follow-Up Visit $150
This visit typically lasts 1-2 hours and includes the following:
- Listening to and addressing any lingering or new concerns you may have
- Assessing the progress of mom and baby's breastfeeding relationship
- Reviewing your personalized care plan and making modifications when needed
- Providing additional tools and techniques to support your success
- Check your baby's weight

About Heidi
Registered Nurse, International Board Certified Lactation Consultant
I hold a bachelors of science degree in nursing with over 10 years of clinical experience. I began my career at Boston Children's Hospital, specializing in pediatric neuroscience nursing. Currently, I am practicing as a visiting nurse, providing in-home care specializing in pediatrics, maternal/child health, and lactation services.
Besides being a nurse, I am a wife to a super supportive husband, mom of two young, adventurous boys that always keep me on my toes, and a "mom" to a lovable dog, Jack and 9 spoiled chickens.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, hiking, biking, gardening, and traveling.
